Weir Makes The Pledge

Graeme Weir has agreed to make his loan move to Queens permanent when his contract at Hearts expires at the end of the month. He will be joined at Palmerston next year by Murray Henderson, a tall centre half from Stranraer, and John Henry, an experienced midfielder from St. Johnstone. The Harry Wraggs It Is

The line up for next season's 1st Division is complete as Partick Thistle overcame a first leg 2-1 defeat at home to finally overhaul Peterhead on penalties in the 2nd leg of the promotion play offs.

Clayholers No More

There will be only 4 South West League derby's next season, as Stranraer have lost out to Partick Thistle in the play off semi finals, going down 4-3 on aggregate despite a brave 2-1 victory at Firhill. In the other semi, Peterhead upset the odds to ensure that there will be no return to Palmerston next season for Peter Weatherson and his Morton 'syndicate'.

In an amazing finish to the Fantasy Betting League Season, middleagedirtbag, having trailed palmerston by just a few points all season, took the final week 36-0 to lift the title of 'Fantasy Betting League Winner' for the 4th sucessive year! If there was a prize for winning the thing, he'd get to keep it!

It's Going All The Way

I told you that the Fantasy Betting League was going to be tenser than the relegation battle. With Queens 1st Division survival secured with time to spare, the only real question left to be answered is 'will it be Palmerston or the dirtbag?'. Only 23 points in it going into the final game of the season, could the dirtbag finally be deposed?

As I predicted, Stranraer have gained all the points that they are going to this season! It was back to form tonight for them as they went down 1-0 to Hamilton, so with 5 games left each, it's all square and all to play for.
