2013/2014
Jim McIntyre
Took Over The Reigns

By Stuart McLaren

After storming to the Double the year before, no one was under any illusions that it would be quite so easy back in The 1st Division (or Championship, as they are now calling it), but the opinion at the start of the season was that we should at least be pushing for a 4th place finish and a shot at the play-offs. After a bit of a shaky start, when he was perhaps a bit too keen to make his mark on the side, Jim McIntyre delivered on that to complete a successful first season in charge.

2013/2014 - Consolodating

Jim McIntyre was the new manager at Palmerston, and was perhaps a bit too keen to put his own stamp on things, as he tried to change the personel and formation to what he thought would be best suited for The Championship. However, he soon realised the error of his ways, and once he reverted back to a 4-4-2 formation made up mainly of last season's squad, Queens came through with a good late run to secure 4th place and a shot at the play offs..

On our new plastic pitch, Queens couldn't quite make it past the first hurdle of The Play-Offs as Falkirk put us out, but to be honest, I think most would say they would be quite happy to stay in a league which will also feature Rangers, Hearts and Hibs next season.

Site wise, for the 4th year running, I cannot recall making any major changes.
