2000/2001 - A New Broom
John Connolly had been appointed to replace Rowe and Eadie at the end of the previous season, and he brought with him from the North East of England a whole host of new players. While his great North East experiment wasn't a total sucess, it did give us stability this season and build the platform which was to see the next few season's be among the most sucessful in Queen's history.
The site signed up for the Rivals network of fan sites, a move that was to see hits go through the roof. The most important reason for this was the introduction of the first sucessful live Queen of The South Message Board (earlier attempts at this had never really taken off), although I also became more 'professional' in my approach to the site, and used to regularly take my laptop to away games and have reports on by 6:00 on the night of the match.
Each Report now had it's own page on the site, and due to the nature of the Rivals system, the only archives I have for that year are the reports and a few match previews. Select any you would want to read from the drop down menu.
