In the first two games of last season, Queens lost 2-1 to the worst side in Scotland (Stranraer) then 4-1 to St. Johnstone. They then signed Brian Reid and by October were top of the league. Coincidence? I don't think so. I'd have put Brian as Player of Last Season by a mile, and it's a big boost that's he's still here and will be helping with coaching at Palmerston instead of the didies he was coaching last year at Murray Park.
